About Us
Prontus is a small, family-run company. We may be small but we have big ambitions. When we work with clients, we want them to have the very best service whether that’s working together for a short time on an event or a long-term collaboration. Running your own business should be rewarding and fun, and not full of needless stress and slog.
Rhian Sieker MIAB
With a strong professional background in both retail and community pharmacy, Rhian developed a deep understanding of business operations, customer service, and financial processes long before entering the bookkeeping profession. Several years ago, she formalised this experience by completing her bookkeeping qualifications, laying the groundwork for a career focused on accuracy, compliance, and supporting small business owners.
Her journey into the bookkeeping world began by working alongside her sister, a long-standing sole trader who was struggling to balance day-to-day operations with the growing demands of invoicing, credit control, and financial record-keeping. Rhian’s support quickly made a noticeable difference, and as word spread, more businesses sought the same level of reliability and clarity in their financial admin.
As the workload expanded and demand increased, Prontus was officially established in late 2020 — born from a genuine need for accessible, dependable, and high-quality bookkeeping and payroll support for small businesses.
Since launching Prontus, Rhian has continued to advance her expertise through a wide range of professional courses in bookkeeping, business finance, and legislation. She also serves as the firm’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), ensuring full adherence to AML regulations and safeguarding clients with strong compliance practices.
Prontus operates under the supervision of the Institute of Accountants and Bookkeepers (IAB), one of the UK’s leading professional bodies. During our most recent inspection, we were awarded an “excellent” rating, with particular praise for our robust internal processes, strong policies, and high standard of professional practice. This recognition reinforces our position as a thriving, reliable, and well-regulated bookkeeping practice and payroll bureau dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
Gwyneth Grove BA (Hons), Dip HE
With decades of experience in the youth, community, and education sectors, Gwyneth built her career around supporting people, solving complex problems, and managing diverse responsibilities — all skills that naturally transfer into high-quality business support. After many years dedicated to these rewarding but demanding fields, she decided it was time for a new challenge and a role that allowed her to work on her own terms.
Drawing on her strong communication skills and passion for helping others succeed, Gwyneth initially moved into freelance writing. It quickly became clear that her ability to organise information, understand business needs, and deliver results made her a natural fit for client work, and before long she had built a steady stream of paying projects.
When the COVID-19 lockdown arrived, the needs of small businesses changed rapidly. Gwyneth recognised that many of her clients required broader support — especially with admin, systems, and organisational tasks — to stay operational during such an uncertain time. In response, she expanded her service offering and stepped into the world of Virtual Assistance. What began as a small idea very quickly took shape, with clients valuing her reliability, structure, and ability to bring order to their businesses.
As the client base grew, one recurring theme emerged: many business owners were overwhelmed by their bookkeeping and financial admin. They didn’t just need support — they needed someone they could trust. Gwyneth saw a clear gap and understood that small businesses deserved accessible, transparent, and client-friendly bookkeeping services.
That insight became the foundation for what would eventually become Prontus. What started as a practical solution for a handful of clients has evolved into a thriving, professionally supervised bookkeeping and payroll bureau serving businesses across the region. Gwyneth now plays a central role in managing client relationships, developing services, and ensuring Prontus continues to grow with integrity, clarity, and purpose.
